As a Fleeting Dream
Halakhic and spiritual guidance

A book of halakhic and spiritual guidance to deal with abortion and still birth, emotional questions concerning the meaning of the existence of the fetus, the meaning of the loss and other areas. The volume is introduced by approvals of Rabbi Zalman Nechemiah Goldberg and Rabbi Yitzchak Zilberstein Shelita.

Fifteen years after the tear that broke our hearts, and thirteen years after we put it on paper in Hebrew, the English edition of 'As a Fleeting Dream: Coping with Pregnancy Loss' has been released.

Every time I give someone a copy of the book, sometimes even when I just see a copy of the book, the old wound opens a bit again. But each time it also heals a bit.

Over the years we have received many requests from English-speaking couples to read the book; and each time my heart ached when I had to disappoint them and say that the book is only available in Hebrew. Therefore, this moment now is a big moment of repair and hope and comfort for me.

In order to get to this moment, I have been helped by many people who deserve a lot of thanks: the translator, Yocheved Cohen, who did a beautiful job; the editor of the translation, Netania Carmi, who completed the work and thoroughly closed the edges; the staff of the Rabbi Kook Institute who helped with lots of good will. And of course, everyone who contributed the funds needed to complete the work. The good and help this book will bring to the world – all of you.

What am I asking from you? In order for the book to be able to help couples after miscarriage, it needs to reach them. With God's help, thanks to your generous donation I have enough copies, in Hebrew and English, to share for free for any good purpose: public libraries (synagogues, Mikva'ot); distribution in hospitals; distribution by halakhic advisors and counselors. In short, anyone who has something good to do with the book is warmly invited to contact me and receive the number of copies required for this. In addition, anyone who can help me make contacts with organizations, media outlets, marketers, and anyone who can help in any way to distribute the book to English-speaking audiences will be blessed. Of course, you are welcome to share it.
